The three episodes in this Seerah book for kids
Bedtime Seerah is a series. Each episode is a complete bedtime journey with its own script, questions and closing reflection, and together they follow the Seerah in order. Three episodes are ready now, each one published in Bahasa Melayu and in English.
The Year of the Elephant
When Allah protected the Ka’bah
Makkah before Rasulullah ﷺ was born: the trade journeys of the Quraysh, Abrahah’s army of elephants, and the birds Allah sent to protect His House.

Who Were His Great-Grandfather, Grandfather and Father?
Meeting the noble family Allah chose
Children meet Hashim, Abdul Muttalib and Abdullah: the great-grandfather, grandfather and father of Rasulullah ﷺ. Syaibah and his white hair, the lost well of Zamzam, and the promise that led to a very special birth.
7 chapters · 7 nights · Surah Quraisy
Who Is Ghulam al-Dakwah?
The brave boy whose story was told by Rasulullah ﷺ
A king claimed to be God. A young boy answered, “My Lord is Allah.” Rasulullah ﷺ told this story himself, and it is recorded in Sahih Muslim.

Coming next: Episode 4, The Noble Birth. What was Makkah like on the night Rasulullah ﷺ was born? Who gave him the name “Muhammad”? And who took care of that very special baby?
Who this Seerah book for kids is for
Parents who want to tell, not just read
If a Seerah passage has ever fallen flat when you read it aloud, this book was written for you.
Families building a bedtime routine
A short story at the same time each night gives children something steady. With a ready script, the routine survives busy evenings.
Children who love a good story
Younger children listen and picture the scene. Older ones answer the questions and say what they would have done.
Grandparents, teachers and older siblings use the same scripts.
Why a script works better than a storybook
A storybook asks you to read. A script invites you to tell.
Picture books are written for the eye. Read them aloud and you end up rephrasing as you go, and the rhythm breaks.
A script is written for the ear: short sentences, a clear speaker, and cues that show where the feeling sits.
It also keeps you close to the facts. You follow words that were checked, and add the warmth yourself.

How to use the book at bedtime
The Seerah book for kids is designed so that preparation takes only a few minutes. Here is a simple rhythm many parents follow.
- Choose tonight’s story. Start at the beginning, or pick one your child asked about.
- Read it once on your own. A quiet read earlier is enough to learn the flow.
- Tell it in your own voice. Glancing at the page is fine.
- Pause for the questions. Let your child answer, then carry on.
- Close with the reflection. One lesson, a dua, goodnight.
What your child takes away from each story
Every story in the Seerah book for kids is built around one clear takeaway, so your child goes to sleep with something simple to remember.
- Knowing who Rasulullah ﷺ was and how he lived
- Recognising honesty, patience and kindness
- Feeling that the Seerah is a real story about real people
- Having the words to ask and to share what they think
These takeaways grow over time. A story told once is a pleasant evening. A story told many times becomes part of how your child sees the world.
Written with care for accuracy
The Seerah is a true story about someone we love, so accuracy matters as much as warmth. Dialogue makes it easier to tell — it never adds events that did not happen.
Every episode ends with a page of source notes for parents, which separates what is in the Quran, what is in the hadith, and what comes from the seerah and tafsir reports. Episode 3, for example, is narrated in Sahih Muslim, and Surah al-Buruj is printed with a simple translation of its meaning.
The stories come from Sirah Nabi Muhammad ﷺ for Children by Ustaz Azlan Shah Nabees Khan, CEO of Arba Foundation. Faiz Mansor turns each lesson into a bedtime script, and the books are published by Feetra Academy.
Where a story has a heavy part, the script tells it gently and a Guide for Mum and Dad at the back sets out the full details, so you can decide what to share at your child’s age.
If you ever find something in a story that you would like us to check, please tell us. We welcome corrections and take them seriously.
What parents say
The two cards below show how a testimonial will look. We will replace them with real parents’ words once families allow us to publish them.
The first night I read it, my six-year-old kept asking what happened next. Having the lines ready meant I did not stumble at the start.
Parent name (sample)Mother of three, Shah AlamWe used to run out of things to say after two minutes. Now the questions keep the story going, and my daughter answers them herself.

Quick answers about the book
Do I need to know the Seerah well before using it?
No. Each script gives you what you need for that night. Many parents find that they learn the Seerah alongside their children, one story at a time.
Can I change the words as I tell the story?
Yes. The script is a guide, not a test. Keep the facts as written and feel free to use your own phrasing for everything else.
Is this Seerah book for kids only for bedtime?
Bedtime is where it shines, but families also use the stories on long drives, on Ramadan evenings and at weekend family gatherings.
